What:

Academic upgrading (grade 12 equivalent) courses are offered online through Ontario’s public colleges.

Courses include:
  • Communications (English)
  • Apprenticeship math
  • Business math
  • Core math
  • Technical math
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
Other courses available:
  • Self Management - Self Direction
  • Computer Fundamentals
  • Numeracy Support
  • Writing Support
  • Reading Support
  • Communications Support (read/write)
  • Learn to Learn Orientation course (required for all incoming learners)

Who:

Ontario residents, 18+ years

Proficient in the English language - based on skills assessments at entry

Not on an International Study Visa

Have reliable access to a PC or laptop (not just a Smartphone) and internet

When:

Free intakes are offered in January, March, April, June, September and November for those who have completed the Learn to Learn orientation and meet the entry standard required for ACE courses.

Assessments and Learn to Learn are available weekly throughout most of the year.

All courses are offered asynchronously and fully online

Good Learning Anywhere

What:

  • Good Learning Anywhere is the award winning Aboriginal Lead for the MLITSD funded e-Channel program
  • It provides access to online learning at no charge. Content is designed for adults who strive to improve their computer, reading, writing, math, or Essential Skills to improve their quality of life at home, at work and in the community
  • Focus on providing a culturally supportive online environment for Aboriginal individuals, communities, and groups

Who:

Adults (18+ years), residents of Ontario, and must have access to a computer with internet connection.

When:

  • LIVE online instructor-led classes are available Monday – Friday
  • Independent and short courses are available anytime
